Wind Zones are ratings that classify the amount of wind pressure or wind speed a manufactured home must be built to endure. Wind Zones are classified based on location and divided into three groups.

Wind Zone 1 covers most of the interior United States, where Hurricane speed winds are not common.

Wind Zone 2 is designated for homes where wind speeds can reach 100 mph.

Wind Zone 3 is designated for coastal areas where hurricane-force winds are more common. This zone is built to sustain winds of 110+ mph.
