A HUD tag is a metal plate or label attached to the exterior of a manufactured home that indicates the home was built to federal safety and quality standards set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The tag contains information about the home's manufacturing date, serial number, and the name and address of the manufacturer.
