It is nestled in a few trees for shade and close to the water for lots of sunshine, spectacular sunsets and views of the bay. Located close to Balm Beach, this waterfront summer get-away is only 90 minutes north of Toronto and 15 minutes from the town of Midland.This summer retreat has pine paneling on the walls giving that great cottage scent and vinyl flooring for easy clean up. Enter through the back door into a small hallway. Immediately to the right is bedroom 1 with a double bed, closet and 2 dressers. To the left is the 3 piece bathroom with shower stall, sink and toilet. The cottage is serviced with a well and septic system, however, with it being a “senior” cottage, you must follow the cottage rules in this regard. Proceed along the hallway and up the staircase on the left, to an open loft where you will find bedroom 2, complete with 2 single beds and a dresser. OWNERS WILL PROVIDE LINENS AND PILLOWS. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS.The front of the cottage is an open concept with a galley kitchen off to the left. It is complete with fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, coffee maker and other kitchen accoutrements. The water is tested frequently and is fine for cooking and washing. Owners provide one large water container per renter for drinking.On the right is an eating area with table and chairs and at the front is a comfortable, cozy living room with a pedestal, propane fireplace. Large windows grace the front of the cottage providing a wonderful view out onto the water, with a sliding door walk-out onto the front deck. There is a TV with basic cable and a DVD player for the evenings you might want to rent a movie at the store close by in Balm Beach. NO INTERNET, so bring a few good books to enjoy.The deck is outfitted with chairs and a glass top table with seating for 4. There is a propane BBQ for easy summer dinners and the owners provide propane. Follow the patio stones a short distance to a sand deck elevated slightly above the beach area. A great spot for children to play with the beach toys provided. There are also 4 beach chairs that can be set up along the shoreline. While the water is clean and clear for swimming, there are some stones and rocks at the shoreline, so water shoes are recommended for all.
